Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us with any queries.

What mental health problems can you help with?

We have specialists in general adult, old age, and child and adolescent psychiatry. We can help with a range of mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and personality disorder. We will liaise with your family doctor and are able to offer follow-up appointments to monitor progress. Appointments can take place face to face in our clinic or remotely via video conference.

How can I get an appointment?

The first thing that is needed is for your GP or family doctor to refer you to our services. This is important, as it ensures we can communicate with them for any future prescriptions or care needs. Please contact us to make an enquiry.

Where are you based?

We are based at The Coach House Health Centre, in Cambridge.

We can offer remote consultations for any of our services.

How much is it going to cost?

This will depend on the nature of the problem and the kind of service you require. Our standard fees are below:

    • Complex conditions may require more than one assessment appointment in order to establish a diagnosis and treatment plan.

Do you accept private medical insurance?

We do not accept private medical insurance. However, some insurers refund patients paying for treatment, so please check with your insurance first.

What can I expect?

The first appointment is always an assessment. This will involve meeting with a psychiatrist for 1 - 1.5 hours to talk about your current circumstances. If you are having a face to face appointment, you can bring someone with you for additional support.

We are happy to review any previous documentation to help with the creation of a management plan which will be sent to you and your family doctor in the days following your appointment.

Complex assessments may require more than one appointment and this will usually be made clear before you book.

You may require one or more follow-up appointments, which will last no longer than 30 minutes. These will typically take place 2 - 4 weeks after the first assessment appointment or your previous follow-up appointment.
