I am a consultant psychiatrist in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and the clinical lead at The Cambian Group Specialist Mental Health Residential Services. My team treats young people looked after by local authorities with significant mental illness as well as developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, phobias and co-morbidities with associated risks.
Prior to my current employment I worked for the NHS for over 10 years and most recently as a consultant in a specialist adolescent in-patient unit at Ida Darwin Hospital in Cambridge.
My clinical expertise lies in developmental psychiatry. My specialisms are emotional dysregulation with self harm, behavioural difficulties, neurodevelopmental disorders and complex mental health problems. I am an expert in comprehensive child and family centred assessments of mental health as well as neurodevelopmental assessments.
I divided my specialist training in psychiatry between Cambridge where I completed the core psychiatry training and South London and Maudsley where I trained in child and adolescent psychiatry.
During my training I pursued an additional certification in Cognitive Analytic Therapy and held a position as honorary lecturer in medical education at King’s College London School of Medicine.
I obtained my medical degree in Medical University of Silesia in Poland (2011).
