I am consultant psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry based at the Darwin Centre for Young People. This is a specialist adolescent in-patient unit at Ida Darwin Hospital in Cambridge. My team treats young people with severe and enduring mental illness as well as developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, dual diagnoses, mood disorders, severe anxiety disorders, phobias and co-morbidities with associated risks.
My clinical expertise lies in developmental psychiatry. My specialisms are emotional dysregulation with self harm, behavioral difficulties, neurodevelopmental disorders and severe and enduring mental illness. I am a specialist in comprehensive child and family centered assessments of mental health as well as neurodevelopmental assessments.
I divided my specialist training in psychiatry between Cambridge where I completed the core psychiatry training and South London and Maudsley where I trained in child and adolescent psychiatry.
During my training I pursued an additional certification in Cognitive Analytic Therapy and held a position as honorary lecturer in medical education at King’s College London School of Medicine.
I obtained my medical degree in Medical University of Silesia in Poland (2011).
