Duncan Lewis
MSc
I am an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. I completed my MSc in Occupational Therapy at the University of Cumbria in 2019 and since then have gained experience working across inpatient and community NHS mental health settings. I have experience of working with a diverse group of clients with complex needs including psychosis, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.
I specialise in conducting full Occupational Therapy assessments and providing targeted, ongoing interventions to address the primary barriers impacting an individual's ability to engage in their everyday life. In my practice, I focus on practical interventions to help people to manage their difficulties. Some of the areas I have expertise in include motivation, routines, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, executive functioning difficulties, fatigue, life skills and sensory difficulties. I am also able to complete reports highlighting impacts of conditions on everyday function and can provide ongoing recommendations for care and support needs.
